Determining your skin tone can be helpful for choosing flattering clothing, makeup, and even hair colors. Here’s how you can figure out your skin tone:

1. Check Your Veins:

  • Look at the veins on your wrist in natural light.
  • Blue or purple veins indicate a cool undertone.
  • Greenish veins suggest a warm undertone.
  • If it’s hard to tell whether they’re blue or green, you may have a neutral undertone.

2. How Your Skin Reacts to Sun:

  • If your skin burns easily or becomes pink in the sun, you likely have a cool undertone.
  • If your skin tans easily and rarely burns, you probably have a warm undertone.
  • If you tan somewhat but still burn occasionally, you might have a neutral undertone.

3. Jewelry Test:

  • Try on both silver and gold jewelry.
  • If silver looks better against your skin, you’re likely cool-toned.
  • If gold is more flattering, you’re probably warm-toned.
  • If both suit you, your undertone may be neutral.

4. White or Cream Test:

  • Hold a piece of white clothing or paper next to your face.
  • If your skin looks bright and vibrant next to pure white, you have a cool undertone.
  • If you look better next to off-white or cream, you have a warm undertone.
  • If both seem fine, you may have a neutral undertone.

5. Natural Hair and Eye Color:

  • Cool undertones often come with blue, gray, or green eyes and blonde, black, or ash-brown hair.
  • Warm undertones are more common with brown, hazel, or amber eyes and red, strawberry blonde, or warm brunette hair.
  • Neutral undertones can blend features of both cool and warm tones.

Once you’ve identified your undertone, you can pick colors and shades that complement your natural complexion!
